YOU’RE A PEACOCK IN A HEN HOUSE

awarded for refusing to water yourself down for the digestibility of others

You’re A Peacock In A Hen House’s Message:

Would you like the keys out of your people pleasing self-imprisonment?

Stop trying to make people like you who already don’t.

You may like them and want to skip off to Never-Neverland, singing Kumbaya as you go.

But, they aren’t interested in doing that with you.

I know it hurts.

Believe me, I know it hurts, but can you accept that?

Because if you can, you’ll be free to find your real friends and community. There’s a place for everyone.

Can you see YOU?

Can you stop bowing your head and pecking for corn?

They know you’ve got blue feathers.

Do you?

Do you know how incredible blue feathers are?

Stand up and show them.

That way, we can recognize each other.

Our tribe is strong, too.

And while your head is up, make the decision to never again water yourself down for the digestion of another.

Full strength you is glorious and we love you that way.

*Note: The phrase “You’re a Peacock in a Hen House” was said to me by my dear Sisterfriend, Chef Dana Cox lipe in a deep water conversation. The credit for the term goes to her along with huge thank you for the Excellent advice that day.
